460 Verses 360
Hi, I have a 72 one ton. Thats has a 360 engine and a C6 auto trans. I just bought a 460 engine and a 4 speed box that has T18- something stamped on the side of it. The questions I have is what marks on the engine let me know it is a 460 and is this transmission a good one? I use this truck to pull a tractor and trailer that weight in at 8000 lbs any help would be greatly appreciated

Thanks for the reply and info. I have yet to look at the manifold to see what is stamped on it, I received your your reply late, as to your question I was in Bayfield Colorado over the weekend and found it in a wrecking yard and took it out of a 72F350 4 door pick-up. If anyone knows where I can find an alternator and power steering bracket please let me know? Thanks for all the help.
