I recently did an engine swap, where i took a 300 I6 out and swapped it with a 352, the problem that i am having is the clutch linkage bracket doesnt work, what do i got to do to fix this or where do igo to find one, i cant find one anywhere
Thanks
i think it may be just the bracket that the little white ball joins into, you know what i mean? i dunno, if i have to get a whole nother place but the one that i have does not match up, the truck that i got the 352 from was a 4 wheel drive and mine is 2 wheel drive, is that why it wont line up or what? but the bracket wont line up with the linkage, so i dunno, i dont know if there is a chapter up here in maine or not but i will definalty look into it, thanks for your help
sounds like you need the pivot that goes on the motor. bolts on the block across from the pivot on the frame. if there was one on the motor it should work. did you get the equilizer bar for the 352? the one from the 6 wont work.
ok i think i need the equilizer bar then, for some reason the pivot arm doesnt line up, dont know why, do you think that bar would be hard to find? I appreciate the help
From what I have read, you will need everything from equalizer shaft back....including the engine brkt....If you have an extra 65-6 V8 adj rod I sure could use it as some moron cut the one on my 66 and now clutch cant be adjusted right.....Let me know....
Thank you for the info, but unfourtunalty I dont have an extra one, i went down and looked through all my extras and i dont have one, if i come across one i will give you a hollar on here, i just want to thank all you guys for helping me out with my prob. Thanks again and sorry
