Haha, SO many problems!

So I was just browsing through the topics here and I just realized....there are SO many complaints about explorers.

Mine is practically brand new (11,000 miles) and I have TONS of complaints about it:

-My engine fan revs up REALLY high at certain times (cold starting, start going after sitting at a red light, etc) and I mean HIGH...way too high to be normal--I know there is that TSB or whatever about this specific problem but Ford refuses to fix it.

-My two front windows squeak REALLY loud when you roll them up or down...much louder when rolling back up. It makes me cringe everytime I have to roll them up or down. I've sprayed some lube around the edges and stuff but it wears off basically the next day. Ford won't do anything.

-When my air is on, I hear like a loud squeak everytime the compressor kicks in--but the squeak is INSIDE the vehicle, like right at one of the vents...very strange.

-My seat squeaks everytime I first sit in it and everytime I sorta raise up and then sit back...it squeaks again--REALLY loud. Plus, both of my front seats...the backs have slack in them so if you really get on the breaks you like move forward a little bit (The seat back does) and then you move back. Ford won't fix it.

-Everytime I put the vehicle in park, like when I stop somewhere, the engine idle downs and almost quits, then it comes back up quickly and sits steady. They have adjusted my idling and checked all kinds of idling crap over and over and they they can't fix it.

-my rear view mirror constantly vibrates when on the road at 60 mph, and even worse when I'm on the interstate doing 70 or so. The mirror doesn't move much but it has a small, constant vibration that is just enough to blur everything in the mirror...SO ANNOYING!!!!

-I hate the shifting in my explorer--it's so jerky and rough. Ford has replaced some solenoids and modules and stuff and it did help...it was HORRIBLE when I first took it back, but now it's just annoying. Yey for their adaptive shifting thing...just something else to go wrong if you ask me.

-Here is a BIGGIE. My original window sticker lists "power adjustable memory foot pedals" and ford confirms this when they run my VIN number, but yet I do NOT have this feature on my vehicle...no way, shape, or form. They tell me to go to my dealer where I bought it, and my dealer says it's a Ford factory issue. Summary: I'm just stuck with it.

The list goes on and on, believe me. I could type all night it seems like...but I just wanted so share some of my problems!

You have a lazy dealer.
All these issues are warranted by Ford.
If the dealers won't fix them, move up the chain of command....get Ford in the loop.
Good luck.

I had the same problems getting satisfactory service on my wife's Mounty, I went to another Ford dealer that happened to be a competitor of the first dealer and started expressing my dissatifaction of service, not only did the fix everything correctly they detailed it out before I picked it up! kinda sly, but it worked for me.

Sorry to hear of your explorer problems, wish I could help but my X is a 1st gen beast
