Hey folks,
I have a 90 F150 4WD with a 300 six, E4OD, and a BW 1356 manual shift. The tranny is on it's deathbed and I'm getting ready to find another one. I've heard that certain years of the E4OD are more reliable than others (better design or parts I guess). Also, am I correct that a tranny behind a 302 or 351 will bolt up to the inline six? How about one behind the 4.2, 4.6, or 5.4 from a 97+ truck? Thanks for your advice.
Bryan
BTW, the E4OD in my 1990 motorhome is working fine at 73000 miles. I did install a Banks Transcommand shift module at 53000 miles though and changed the fluid.
