It doesn't seem that difficult...
I found many articles here on this, but only one that placed a tank in their bed...it was by Johnsaltego whom used an 80's tank. I'm not sure if it was the same post, but it was mentioned that you could re-use your OEM tank and bolt it to the wall of the bed, with the filler neck on the other side naturally.
I'm not so concerned about having the tank immediately behind the seat, but rather I'd like to add some much needed space in the cab of the truck for storage, speakers, etc.
I just want to make sure that I am not overlooking anything here. Aside from some adjustments such as a few new holes sealed up with grommets, and a new, longer fuel line is there any important considerations that I may be missing?
If this re-locate is do-able, I plan on having a 'dummy' tool box built around the tank.
Thanks for any feedback folks!

moved the leafs to the inside of the frame then the gas tank would not fit
back were it came stock. So for a while I ran one in the bed, I just ran a line
to the old line and it worked great, since then I mounted a small foam filled
8 gallon fuel cell under the rear of the bed with the cap coming through the
bed floor ,and up in the drivers corner of the bed I installed a small second tank its a small 4 gallon and I installed a dual gas tank switch so when the rear
tank ran out ,with the flip of a switch your going again. Plus on this truck it is
very cool to flip a switch and be running on 108 octane, That stuff sure cost
a lot but man does it smell GOOD and runs even better!

Two of my friends have done it and went to a local sheet metal shop to have a cover bent for them. One cost him $44.
