Broken Hood Release Cable
I'm trying to replace the broken hood release cable on my '91 Explorer. I picked up a replacement cable at the parts store. Now I can't figure out how to pop the hood to replace it. Suggestions please!

Did the handle come off or did the cable break? If it's the cable, how far into the shield is the break? If it's before the firewall, you can try cutting just the shield with a tubing cutter and sliding it off, then WD-40 it real good. Let it sit for awhile, then grab the cable with vise grips and give 'er a good yank. Good luck!!!
