I just installed a set of the Ford splash guards on my 2001 F250, front & rear (got them as a birthday present, I wouldn't have spent that much money). The rears seem to fit ok, but the front ones came with a spacer to go between the flap & the inner well. With this in place it seemed like the flap poked too far in, so I just screwed the flap directly to the liner. Am I doing something wrong?
What!?...I just put mine on the other day and there ain't no screwing to be done...just a rubber flap with 7 push clips that pop right into the exhisting holes in the inner frnder well....cost me 17 banannas each.
There were 2 pushpins, & 2 screws. One screw is where the existing one was on the edge of the fender, but the one towards the back I had to drill a hole in the well for the 2nd screw. That's where the instructions said to put the spacer. I've got a few pics in my gallery (I know it needs washing).
Sorry dude...didn't realise you ment mud flaps...splash guards cover the inner fender wel around the shocks...I have never seen a pair of mud guards that really looked right on a Superduty...especially on the rear...BUT yours look pretty good...slightly cocked but I think it's beter that way than sitting in to far with that spacer...everything always needs modifications.

I put the same ones on mine and I just shortened the
rubber spacers so they looked right.
