AB 1058 is an attempt by the truck and SUV haters to regulate CO2, a
gas that plants need and animals exhale. If you think you are safe not living in the state of fruits and nuts, think again. These things spread to New England and New York, and then the EPA. This bill does nothing to regulate real pollutants, and the general public will get confused on this one.
While we are battling the insane soda-pop tax, this comes up. Maybe it is not the sugar making are kids fat, it is really the carbonation (CO2) that they want to tax. Good grief!

would you post a link to the actual bill please? that webpage is nothing but mudslinging and quotes taken out of context. i'm not saying i support the bill (i probably wouldn't) but this website is far from objective and clearly can't be taken seriously. exactly what policies would this bill create or modify?

The problem is that "the devil is in the details". A non-elected board would actually create and enforce the regulations.
