Well I havn't posted here in a while , I have been a bit busy . The bronco is about a week away from rolling again , 4-Link w/Nitrogen Suspension and some 46" Mickeys on 16x18 Aluminium wheels .
Here are some of my progress pics .
Well it should be rollin soon I just got everything back from powdercoating friday so now its assembly time . The axles are getting 5:38's and limited slips .
i would be a bit worried that those limited slips wont hold up to long running those big tires and such. might think about detroit lockers. what motor you have in that?
Its a built 351 thats waiting for a Kenne Belle Blozilla . I have most everything but the blower to do the conversion . The only reason I am leaving the limited in the rear is it was in there when I got it and its almost new . I will most likely run a detroit when the limited goes .
Thanks for the input guys I will post some more up next week when its on all 4's .
Well when you buy a truck from a dealer it refers to the handling capacity , running gear(axles, drivetrain) , in some trucks a heavier frame . I am using the term to describe the axles that I am converting to , considering the bronco comes as a 1/2 ton with a TTB 44 and an 8.8" and now I am going to a Dana 60 and a Sterling 10.25" .
so you going with the blowzilla huh? righton, are you going to convert over to mass air while your at it or does your bronco already have it? Best work ive seen in awhile for sure.
I have a GT40 and almost everything to do the conversion . It has been down for about 2 months from when we tore the suspension out , I sold the old setup to a kid from the neighborhood . There are more pics on my Superford page , just search for Had2doit .
hey I'm actually tryin' to get my 96 bronco up high enough to ride 46's and I'm startin to think about doin a 4 link... can u give me a lil background on what you've done, where you've got the stuff from etc. and estimated costs
If only they came from the dealer that way! Nah.. it would only take the fun out of modifying your rig... Nice job BB94Bronco, I only wish that my skills for modification were nearly as good as yours as I only stick to simple stuff.
I will put it simple , its not easy to get a short wheelbase truck this high . I spent a bit over 6K doing it myself , I am also a perfectionist and even went the extra step to get it all powdercoated .
The truck will be at bloomsburg this year , I can't wait to get it there . I am hoping for a mag shoot but won't be disapointed if I don't get it .
