motor mounts?

motor mounts?

ok guys heres where im stuck! i have the Mustang 2 installed with v8 springs. i want to install my motor but was wondering what or how to mount the motor. i have seen ones that go to the frame and some that went to the crossmember. oh ya its a 55 f100. the motor is a 351 c and c-6 trans. i can make what every i want but the thing is whats best? they say two heads are better than one so i hope theres help out there. thanks Roger

I have my motor mounts running at an angle down to the frame and also have another brace from the motor mount to the crossmember. I have used this same style when I had the 390 in and now with the 460. You can see my mounts in my gallery. Good luck.

You might want to check out Horton's Hot Rods as they sell a universal motor mount and it might give you some ideas on fabrication. They had a good photo layout of installation instructions on ebay recently and probably have similar information available either on a website or on paper. Just a thought.

thanks for you help . Looks like its not to bad to fab up. It looks harder getting the motor set where you want it. thats what im not sure on how high the motor should sit in the frame
