the heat is on
hello all, i have a 1982 f-100 . we just put a 351 w in it. it is factory with no a/c . when i drive it i can feel hot air coming from the defrost vents , the cotrols and fan speed are all on off. any idea's on how to fix this cause it sure gets hot inside the truck. thanks

Make sure all of your climate control cables are hooked up and adjusted properly. When you have the mode selector in the off position you shoud not feel any air coming out your defroster or your floor vents. It shoud not be hard to diagnose since your dealing with cables instead of vacuum lines.

i had a friend watch outside where the cable connects while i moved the control switches inside and they were not moving. the cable must be broke how would one go about replacing it? thanks for your help

My 82 F150 is doing the same thing.
I went under the hood and moved the temp lever to off and under the dash and moved that lever to off also.
Both of my cables don't work. It is a pain in the winter.
