EGR Plate connection ?

I have an '83 F250 4X4/460. I've searched over 150 posts in the archives and unfortunately did not find an answer to my question. The vacuum diagrams I have found did not give a clear picture on the hose in question.

I picked the truck up from a guy that ripped most of the emissions equipment out-but leaving many of the hoses hoked up to thier original ports, but just hanging in a big clump off many of the various switches, etc that were originally part of the AIR system. FWIW the intake is an Edelbrock Performer, as well as the carb.

I am in the process of removing or properly routing the hoses when I came to the fitting on the front of the EGR plate, directly under the PVC fitting on the carb. It has a hose leading to "never never land"

Where should this hose be routed? Or, can the port be capped?

Thanks in advance for your suggestions

I'm kinda looking for the same thing. I have a 78F2504x4 (supercab). Original w/351m and 2bl carb. California emmissions. I swapped in a 460 w/ 4bl holley. (all came from 77 LTD). I realized the holley did not mate to the intake (square/spread). I recently aquired a rebuilt 4350 to put on the truck. Now, I'm trying to figure how to adapt all the hoses (previously attached to the Holley) over to the 4350. I have yet to find any vaccuum diagrams for that application.
As far as your question: Since all of my emmissions crap is still intacted I may be able to help. What kind of carb? The vacuum for the PVC on the Holley is on the passenger side, the 4350 is directly in the rear (where the EGR is located).
