Bogged Down 4.9

I've got a '96 F150 300/5sp. The engine has 120000 miles on it. When I got it, it ran really really bad. Had a lot of missing etc. Well, I replaced the plugs, wires, rotor, dist. cap, pickup coil, ignition coil, fuel filter, assorted vacuum lines.

Now, although the truck starts and runs fine while driving it feels like its bogged down. Its almost feels like I'm pulling a fully loaded trailer. I've run injector cleaner through it but it's made no difference.

Could it be fuel pressure? I notice that it's worse when I run the front tank as opposed to the rear tank.

Any Ideas?

Thanks!

Is it breathin alright? air filter, any clogs around anywhere in the intake? Just another idea. Good luck with it though. these things will run forever if you take care of 'em.

The fuel pumps inside of the tanks might be getting tiered. When was the last time the injecters were flushed?

First, check your fuel pressure with a gauge you can buy at any auto parts store or even sears. If the truck runs differently on one tank, then it likely needs a new pump. You're in for a fun afternoon!

Second, take it to a good muffler shop and have them check if the cats are plugged up. That's a real common thing for these trucks.

A bad cat is going to affect the truck the same, no matter which tank you're running on. Not to say you shouldn't have it checked anyway, but I doubt that's your problem.
