A/C Problems

Ok guys, I need some advice from the folks who are in the know.

I have a '94 Mazda B3000 with the a/c blowing warm air. Things I have done:

Checked the a/c pressure ...zippo. Didn't budge the gauge.
Checked the compressor...not spinning with the a/c on. With the engine off, I have checked to see if I can manually spin it, and I can, so it's not seized, I am assuming.
As near as I can tell, the clutch is not even trying to engage.
Clutch is not engaging in defrost either.
Fuse is good.

I still need to swap out the WOT relay with a new one.

Question:

Would the no pressure cause the a/c clutch not to engage? I don't want to charge something that doesn't need it (not because of money but because of the dangers). Or am I looking at a bad compressor or perhaps an electrical problem?

Thanks!

You need to find out why there is no pressure, with no freon the compressor is not going to come on.

It definitely absolutely won't turn on? Even if you bypass the switches? I have almost the same situation. But I tried bypassing the switches and I have a little pressure (but not much at all, just enough to make some noise)

I have read about the "switches" in other posts, but I am not sure what everyone is talking about on that. Any details on the "switches"? TIA

That is the switch that I tried jumping first, to no avail.

Front:

Passenger Side:

This is the switch I was told to jump here. Again, though, it did me no good. This is on the passenger side, toward the firewall on my 90 Bronco.

I'm looking up the info on where/what it is exactly...

The first switch is (obviously) on the compressor itself...
The second (the one I was told to jump here) is the Cycling Clutch Pressure Switch. It is on the accumulator/drier.

I LOVE show and tell. Much better. Thanks!

I tried to get a replacemnet WOT relay, but they didn't have it in stock. So I decided to throw 12v across it and I could hear the relay switch on and off. So I guess that's ruled out.

I'll check and make sure voltage is hitting the compressor. Kinda of winding up at a dead end. I guess the piece I am missing is what actually engages the clutch... Is there a pressure that needs to met?

I did have a dead battery twice this past year for no apparent reason. Maybe I have an electrical gremlin. I'll keep searching....
