You may have a 391 F.T. Good block to build from. If you do have the 391 it has the forged steel crank, thicker cyclinder walls and higher nickle content to make the block stronger. My old engine was D4tee on the block and was told by Jasper Engines it was a 391. I used it as core exchange. 625 cater, 204/214@ .50 eld per intake, 8 to 1 CR, stock head with headers. Pulled like a John Deer, ran out steam at about 4,000. New engine just screams Jasper Class II 390.

Better do a sonic test of the walls for overbore capacity or at least the drill bit test ( I use feeler gauges) to see how thick the walls are. Not all the so called truck blocks have thick walls.
