Shane;
Great dedication and desire to establish a long forgotten era; I purchase a 59 F100 LWB; havn't had time to resto it yet; due to doing a 65 F100 swb first; but I was able to attain it and keep it out of the salvage yard from being crushed or stripped; Its only draw back was someone attempted to convert it to a 4X4 instead leaving it originial; Also the engine is a 64 292; not a 223 cid; and has a 4 speed trans. The vin data is :
F10J9K46086
F10 modified to F11 = f100 4wd
J = 223 6 cycl 1BC Carb
9= 1959 model
K= Kansas City Mo,
46086 = production series;
WB 118 ; Color DD F18J 17 F
Trans F A
Axle 02
DSO 5987
Hope you can decifer this info better than I can; I don't know original color presently a dark green; exterior & interior.
Thanks again for your commitment and dedication.
Mitch

Heck no! I wish I could have. The 351M crossmember is bouncing off the axle, so I need to build new motor mounts.
The registry is up to 154 trucks now. I'm trying to figure out how to do my own website instead of waiting on the webmaster I've been working with. It's just taking way too long.

Thanks man, I appreciate it. With your info and the pics, the info is: Kansas City plant #33865, 223 inline 6, prob. a 3 speed w/3.70 rear....looks to be a 118" wheelbase? I can't tell if it's a short or long box. The paint that seems to be on it look like Holly Green (COLOR Code L). So, you're VIN plate would look like this:
F10J0K33865
118 F100 L (DATE code) A 01
5000 126 4000
I may have enough from the KC plant to figure up a date code for it.

just purchased 1960 f350
Hello all,
I just bought a 1960 F350 flatbed. It is really in great original condition. I bought it from the originalowner, who has had it stored most of its life. It has 22534 originalmiles, and no modifications other than he bought it to use for his roofing company and they paint all of the trucks bright yellow. Turns out that the 350 wasnt big enough to handle the job so they bought bigger and made this one the errand truck for a few years till he sold the business and parked the truck.
Other than a 1968 gas tank, a wear through hole in the floor mat under the pedals, a small ding in the hood near the emblem, and one aftermarket wiper, it is in really great shape. The interior is to die for, with the seat, the head liner, and paint near perfect.It runs greeat, although needs a valve job. It still has the original tires on it, with more tread than dry cracks.
I got this beauty for $2000.00, i think a great deal!
Anyway, here is the info i have with me today,
It it the 223 I 6, with 4 on the floor.
VIN F35J0R52788 axle code 08
The rest is on the plate i just didnt get all of it, will get back to you!
Can you tell me what the axle ratio is and what registered number i am?
thanks
Jesse

Wanna be!!
GREAT idea - 'the forgotten fords' registry! I just found this site a couple of days ago, as I am headin' out later this week to check-out a 57 (sentimental favorite - first truck my dad owned). I posted a help-question the other night describing the truck titled "What is it worth?" My seller is asking $2500 (which is beginning to seem high)...but beauty is in the eye of the beholder - and I really wanna be a (smart) 57 owner - and a member of your new registry!!

Sixoh - I decided not to buy the $2500 '57 - it really isn't in too bad condition - just a little more than I can take on right now - but it's all there, and here are the numbers:
Serial F10K7K22858
WB 110R
Color R
Date 01E
Trans F
Axle 01
GVW 5000
Cert Net HP 145
RPM 4100
The truck was in the Denver Post @ 303/646-4545, and as of yesterday still needs an owner.

Hey gang - sorry I didn't get back sooner, just got back in town from a weekend in the Rockies!
Anyway, yeah Steve, your truck has the "C" code for the engine, which is a 292. And as for the # of trucks, I picked up another out in Colorado this weekend, so the registry is up to 170! Woo Hoo!
