300 to 351C
I have a 77 F150 4x4 that I would like to put a 351C into. I'm looking at buying a 2V engine from a torino. I know some are going to tell me to put in a 351M or a 351W or even a 400, and I agree that they are all good engines, but I want to be different. I'm not going to be using this truck for towing, mainly it's a DD and weekend four wheeler. It currently has a 300 L6 backed by a np435 w/3.50:1 gears. I know that the bell housing will fit, but what for engines mounts will I need? Will the flywheel from the 300 work? What options do I have as far as a rebuild? I'm aiming for about 300hp and 400 ft.-lbs. Any help would be greatly appreicated.

i think the L6 flywheel is nuetral balanced? the Cleveland needs a 28oz imbalance flywheel, same as early 351W's. you prolly want a 164 tooth, not the 157 tooth. 300 hp should be pretty easy to come up with from a straight forward and dependable build
