That would be a great tow vehicle, as long as the trailer has brakes like you said. The 440 would tug without the slightest hint of strain, and the one ton brakes could make sure you stop!! Much better idea than the f150!

PS BTW- the B300 is a 1ton!!

I would do it with the motorhome too. Even with your F150, if you took it easy, you would be fine. I once did a similar haul, but hauled an F150 with a Chevy 2500LD. It was a 1 way trip of about 50 miles with a few grades. I took it easy, and was passed by EVERYONE, but it did it. I would be more concerned about the stoping than the going. However, given your options, I would choose the motorhome.

Is your trailer a true flat bed trailer with no fenders sticking up? I have a 20' "flat bed" trailer (18' flat + 2' beavertail) which has two fender wells sticking about 14" above the bed. I wanted to tow my 1987 1/2 GMC Silverado 4x4, short bed, regular cab with 32x11.5x15 tires, but the tires were too wide to fit between the fenders. I didn't have any stock size tires, but had some old stock wheels with no tires mounted. I put these on the front of the GMC to get through the fenders. I kind of left a few light grooves in the deck of my trailer, but not too noticable.

If you have fenderwells, your 35" tires may be too wide to fit through. BTW, I think I'd tow it with the motorhome rather than the F-150.

I think I will have the same problem with the fenders, the tire width is about 7'2" and between the fenders is 7'. It has heavy duty fenders, the guy I'm buying the trailer from said he just squeezes between them, but I might need to get a couple stock wheels if that won't work. I guess I'll use the motorhome to tow it, thanks everyone for the advise.

I don't think you'll have a problem with a 70 mile run, as long as you take it easy and the last thing I would worry about is the state scales.
