My 01 Expy EB with leather seats is in need of a bit of cleaning/conditioning. I was wondering what the board consensus on the appropriate substance/brand to use was....I'd like to use something that isn't going to make it to terribly slippery if possible...any idears?
I also use Lexol, the cleaner is great, it makes a nice foam, cleans well, and wipes off easy. The Lexol protectant is a little thick though, i barely put any on and i feel like Im sticking to my seats a little after i put it on. I love the cleaner, but looking for another brand for protectant.
my sister got lipstick on my grey leather, and i got it off with Castrol Super clean on a rag, not diluted. Probably not the best thing for the leather, but it didnt seem to hurt it. I definitely wouldnt clean the entire seat with that stuff though... Im not sure the lexol is strong enough to get that dye off, it wouldnt get the lipstick off...
I like the Armor-all wipes too...they seem to clean everything except that pesky blue dye off my grey leather....I'll look into the leathertherapy..thanks..
I use Meguires Gold Class leather cleaner then I follow with Tanners Leather preserve. It works well. I also have used the Meguires gold class leather conditioner. The only problem with it is you have to buff the seats down after application. The results are worth it though!
Baby wipes work great! I have an 03 EB and I get the blue from jeans on the seats too. One or two baby wipes take the blue right off. In fact I have been using the wipes that have aloe, and my seats still look like new, even at 16000 mi.
