Hi
what size tires do you think I could fit on a 2001 4wd expedition with a fabtech 6 inch lift. And also what size tires could I fit with the 6 inch lift and a 3 inch lift. Also is there any problems associated with lifting an expedition i.e. broken axles, driveshaft, transmission, etc...

Hey Siddyboo, not too many lifted Expys around here, but this has been discussed a couple times. You might try a search of "lifted" or similar words. I think "the4x4freek" has his lifted a bit, maybe he'll wander by.

Sorry Buzz.... no lift here.... if it were it wouldn't fit in the Garage! 
I have seen lifted Expys in other sites though! They look great. Just keep in mind.... on a lift you get what you pay for. There are lift kits out there that are not complete kits. You will still need to buy brackets and shocks for it. If the price seems too good to be true.... then it probably is! Do your home work and research the kits well. As for clearance.... I have seen 35's and 36's on a 6"lifted Expy. You have to keep in mind that your wheels are gonna be wider for the bigger tires so just beacuse you lift it doesn't mean your gonna be able to slap some big meats under it and be done! Your gearing will be affected and your fuel mileage is gonna be horrific! If it's gonna be a daily driver I wouldn't reccomend a lift. You'll go broke quickly paying $2+/gal for fuel! They look good lifted but you will pay a price for it. I guess it all depends on what your gonna use it for!
