First time on site and I appreciate all the good info.
Mine is a 2003 SC XLT 4X4 Automatic.
Build date 5/03
Engine date 05/06/03
Lower Tenn Plant
I bought the truck in Nov. 03 with 162 mi. Around 500 to 1000 mi. I had a surge at a stop light and about a 50 rpm differential in the idle at stop. So I did what my dad used to do when I was a kid and I "blew it out" pretty good.
I had the oil changed at 4800 and now have 7000+ on it with no other problems.
About 75% city driving and the rest back and forth from my place in the country. City mileage has been 14-16, highway 16 -19, using the fuel in fuel out method. I don't know if blowing it out did any good or not, but I still do it every time I get out of town. The truck is just a road hog, and I'm very satisfied. I race vintage mustangs on road courses and bought the truck for a hauler. As of now I haven't hauled with it but I'll repost after first road trip
Thanks Matt in Texas
jbracing, welcome! You will get a lot of help and support here on the 6.0 forum of the FTE. Enjoy the truck. Lot's of us Texans driving these things. What part of Texas?
sbv45 sorry I forgot my manners. Thanks for the welcome and I'll be watching for the other guys. I see where you're from central Texas. My brother lives in Austin and I lived in Bastrop/Smithville area for years. My brother has a classic Mustang business and we both have a seat of the pants racing thing going. Not very competitive but its a blast to celebrate the old cars. We race at Texas World Speedway in College Station.
Hey jb...welcome...I live close to Choctaw Bob...I think he is in East Garland, I am in Rowlett. Dang near neighbors.
Anyway I am pretty new to the forum and I think I have been welcomed with open arms and I am sure you will be too. (Don't judge us on our speeelling though. We are all inflicted with the fat finger syndrome.)
A plethora of good people, fun, and info here. Yep...sometimes we even us big words.
Welcome JB...
I hold up the suthern end of the DFW metroplex

Well TBL I am crushed. Shocked, Stunned, and Amazed that you would talk about jdadamsjr like that.
By the way...if there are two left...well...it seems to imply that...well ...there were more than two to start with. Huh? Never mind I am sure that that would be TMI.
Anyway...have a great & safe weekend & let's keep those 6.0's running!
