oil smell
Ok here we go, I have a 96F150, I just changed the oil about 2 weeks ago, and ever since then, upon hard acceleration, I get a smell of oil in the cab. I checked all over for leaks and everything is dry. I changed the PCV valve also. I am at a loss as what to check next. Truck has 141K on it and is really good to me. At first I thought I might have gotten some on the downpipe, but if I did, wouldn't it have burned off by now.

You are probobly smelling blow-by from the engine. With the engine running remove the vent hose that goes from the valve cover to the air filter. Rev the engine up and see if you have smoke coming from the hose. If you do, your rings are worn and combustion gases are leaking past the rings. Ford used to sell a "High Mileage" PCV valve. Check with your ford dealer
