Help needed on transmission ID

I haven't posted on this forum before, instead haunting the 47 and older, and the Y-block forum. But hopefully someone here can help.
I picked up a 292 today with transmission attached, out of a '63 or '64 F-100 (might have been an F-250). The tranny looked different to me than what I expected. Maybe I am too used to looking at my '46 three speed.
It is a manual shift, which looks much like pictures of the top loaders I found on the internet. The top access plate has 9 bolts symetrically arranged. There is an after market shifting linkage on the driver side of the trans/rear housing. It shifts into 3 positions plus reverse. Shifting pattern for the 3 positions is straight.
There is no tag on the tranny. It has casting marks of C3AB 7006-E.
Is this a standard 3 speed tranny for the year or something different? The floor mounted shifter in the truck was left of center, in a nonstock type location.

C=60's 3=third year
So yes 63 it is. It should have been 3 on the tree shifted but they ware out so it's common to see badly mounted floor shifter.
