must have lost the manual for my 86 frord f-250.I need to know where I can get another one. the company that I got the first one from is sold out of that year! HELP!!!! also the truck won't start so anybody who has any troubleshooting tips for the fuel system would be appreciated
Keith, I'm sorry I can not help you with your manual search. I would like to ask you, or any other Ford 6.9 Diesel owner a question. I am looking at buying a 1984 F-250 4x4 with this diesel engine. Do you recommend this truck/engine combo?
Have you had any major problems, or dependability problems? What kind of miles have you put on this motor before rebuild? Does it really use about a quart of oil every 500-600 miles.
Any responses, and comments would be greatly apprecitated.
Thank you.
What is your truck doing exactly? Does it crank and not start? Have you checked the glow plugs, let me know what it is doing and I will help you. I know this motor very well. Email at deleontow(No Email Addresses In Posts!)
Somebody's going do dig up a post that reads something like this:
Hi,
I just bought my first arc. It's the 80 cubit long hull, x-bridge, with the Twin Zebra treadmill engine. The PO said that the design was inspired by God, but IDK. Iit seems a little sluggish. He said it really hauled ***, and oxen and buffalo, but I cant get it over about 3 knots. Is there anything I can do to get a little more power out of her on a frankensence budget? Also, the oil seems a little thick, smells like ****, and seems to have been leaking into the hull for a number of years, because it is full of it. Is this normal for the Twin Zebra Treadmill?

Thanks,

I go to church, but I don't care who you are, that's funny right there!
Is it not an appropriate irony that the forum's first (apparently) post is one with a no start problem? I hope after thirteen years Keith's got it started.
