This may sound stupid but how does the shake get to you? Thru the seat of your pants or through the steering wheel? Not all shakes are front end. Seat of the pants i'd wanna look at drive train issues. does the shifter vibrate more than normal or coincide with the *shaking*?
Does the steering wheel vibrate side to side or more of an up and down motion?
side to side i'd attribute to alignment, up and down i'd look at shocks or balance.
