I don't see how to get the right side o2 sensor unplugged (one on front side of the cat.). The connector is hidden by the frame, exhaust pipe, transmission.
Its fun to get to those. I had to jack the truck up enough to get my arm all the way on top of the tranny to get to it. Then use an open-end wrench to get the O2 out of the pipe. If it has been on there for a long time, it will not come easy. The wiring was even worse because the end was attached to the floor of the X with one of those pushpins . After jacking it up a little more - then using a screwdriver and pliers to get the plug off - it finally came out.
I'm not a real big guy, but not small either. There is not much room on the top of the tranny.....
Thanks for the tip. Getting the sensor out seemed to be no problem. It is just getting to the plug. It must be nice to install all that stuff with nothing in the way and then let someone else figure out how to get it out.
Why they put it on top of the tranny is a mystery to me. I guess they think people will look at it, and decide to let the dealership do it for them....

I think Im one of those people> ,One other thing to try is unscrew the O2 sensor then see if you can pull it up from under the hood and disconect that way and just revs. the prosses to instal it. OR I just might not know what heck Im talking about!
