navigation screen

I have an 03 Expy Eddie Bauer with the Navigation System...
The screen has just started to not come on right away (sometimes) when I start the car. After a few minutes, or me hitting the power button it activates...

I've noticed that since I've update the maps to 04, the clock takes a minute or longer or so to come on when the Expy is started...

Anyone having similar issues? I'm guessing the Radio and Navi Screen is starting to act up and go bad... Maybe I'll get lucky and the system will go down and they will replace it with a new Navi that has Sirious Sat. Radio option?

Let Me Know - Thanks!

I have the older navigation CD’s, the screen has failed to come-on a couple of times but not worth taking to the dealer, maybe twice in a year. Once it took me off-road, I was driving on Hwy 20 was strange, but reset itself after turning the car off and back on.

Can you help, what was up-graded with the new maps? Besides the roads, what changes to the options? Thinking of upgrading.

Thanks

Jeff

maps

Just updated the Cd's because my wife broke the older Navi CA. cd...

I haven't noticed anything new, except for the newer roads that are updated in my area, that weren't available before...

the literature with the new CD's said the navi tracking system is suppose to be more accurate?

Who knows... I'm happy with em... You can get new Cd's at www.Navtech.com

I wish the navi system was just Satellite Radio ready...

Navigation / Phone

Nor Cal,

I saw a post you made on a different thread about the Nav system and the phone option. I also have an 03 Expy with the Nav. You provided a link to something called Mobile Ease and said it required a Blue Tooth phone. Did sprint ever come out with the phone you wanted and did you have the Mobile Ease installed? My local dealers seem to have no idea about having the phone option hooked up. They all keep telling me it is just a mute button which I don't think is the case.

Thanks,

Rob

Clock taking longer

I have an 04 Expy Eddie Bauer with the Navigation Radio. The first time I inserted the map CD it automatically updated the nav software. Like you, my clock now takes longer to turn on (doesn't really bother me). Perhaps the clocks syncs with an outside time source??

Which nav radio has the Sirius option?

I haven't purchased the Mobile Ease system as of yet because the only phone Sprint has is the T608 that has bluetooth...I'm waiting for a newer model with MS software. I'm in sales and want a combo Pda phone that will work with the system...
You can go to:
http://www.fordgenuineaccessory.com/...35&Submit.y=10

Mobile ease is a Lincoln product that will work with the Navi System. Hands free dialing mobile phone sytem that syncs with a blue tooth enable phone, sound through the speakers in the car. The Phone button is not a mute button! Most dealers don't have a clue what the button is for or what the Mobile Ease system is... You'll have to print the page on the web site or tell them to check with Lincoln... Long story short I was ****ed with the dealer,to find out what the phone button was for and told them that they'd be buying back my Navi System and updating it with something else if they didn't provide me with a legit answer...
I thought it was ridiculous that I spent 45k on a vehicle and to have something installed on my vehicle that I couldn't use... I hope the system works when I purchase it this summer... I'm in sales and on the road, I could use a hands free system...

navi clock

I hope the clock sync with a satellite? Not sure, but i do have the delay...since I updated..

I believe the 04 have the Sat. Radio option with the Navi System stereo or maybe it's the 05 Expy that is coming out... If anyone has any info on integrating XM or Sirious Sat Radio with Navi System that isn't through a FM Modulator, please let me know... and if someone is using an FM modulator, Does the system sound good?
