Wierd power window problem
I just bought a 1997 for F250 (f150 body) it is a 4x4 lariate. I have power windows and the passanger works fine but the driver side would not roll down. I took the door panel off and unpluged the motor wires and powered it directually from the battery. The window went up and down fine. I figured it must be the switch but when I replace it It still won't roll down. Any other ideas would be very helpful. Thank You in advance

I believe the switch simply activates a solenoid, which is what actually provides the power to the window to roll it up and down, sounds like the solenoid is actually the problem. I couldn't tell you where it is though, you'll need a haynes or chiltons for that.
