Headrests

Does anyone know how to remove the front factory headrests in a '04 F-150?

should be able to slide them up and then push a clip at the bottom of the shafts and slide them back down.

Thanks, that works but I need to actually remove them to install my seat covers.

try pussing on the release button while pulling up on them, sometimes they tend to put a safty pin on the bottom of the shafts to keep them from coming completely out. If that don't work i don't know what it is.
