what carb do I have

my dad just bought a 77f150 with a swapped in 360. The carb needs rebuilt, but the ID tags are not there anymore so we are not sure what kind of motorcraft carb it is. It is a 2 barrel. any ideas?

I think you'd be better off by getting a 4-barrel intake and a holley 600cfm vacuum secondary. Better performance and mileage than the stock unit.

I know we would be better off with that, but he needs the truck for the weekend and the carb needs rebuilt. The fast idle doesn't work and it won't stay idling for more than a few seconds before stalling, unless you turn the idle up a lot.

We are searching the local junk yards for a 4-barrel intake, but a simple rebuilt will work for now. Does anyone know the number for the 2-barrel carb that came stock on 360's?

holley makes a 2 barrel that will fit on the intake, its not too expensive either, save yourself the headache of rebuilding the motorcraft.
