I did this to my 1982 F-150 4x4
and had to get mounts from the junk yard
they bolt straight to the frame,
which allowed me to install the 351 w
I kept the same tranny and bell housing
but remember that the 351 w will need its fly wheel
as they are ballanced for each engine
and a 302 flywheel is also balanced different
so you will need a 351 w fly wheel
mine was carburated, so no computer stuff to deal with
also a new radiator was needed as the hose connections were on opposite sides

probably the funnest part with this swap is finding the right EEC, you are going to need one for a 90-91 351w with the manual, and that limits your search to finding it out of F250's, the 150s/Bkos didnt ever have a 351w/manual combo. i ended up just buying my computer new after the long search, 200bucks not including the rediculaus(sp) core charge.

if the 300 does what you need, then rebuild/replace. It is a lot less hassle. If you really need the 351 for towing or some such, it is often cheaper and easier to just trade in the truck on one with the combo desired.
Was talking with a buddy of mine last night who had a new 300 installed for $1800 (he is not real mechanically inclined) Really not to bad with a 3yr/36k warranty. All depends on what you want.....

check out ad 13893 in the classified section. A ways from MT but might be worth it if you travel around or know shipping well

dont get me wrong the swap was well worth it, and i was going from a 302. your gas milage might go down, on average i get about 13-14 Hwy miles and prob 12 with my mixed driving. the 351 is a strong motor, but another option (given you dont have emissions) would be to build up the 300. you might be interested in talking to jared (Ford_six, or some scrn name close) he swapped out his 351w in favor of his built 6 and he's happy with the combo.
