Parts Cleaner

I am rebuilding a carb and need to know what to use for cleaning the parts? It has been 20 years since I rebuilt a carb and the old fashion parts dip is no longer avialable in California.

I just rebuilt mine and used a can of GUNK carb cleaner. Comes in a 1 gallon paint type can with a little basket strainer in it for the small parts costs about $14. Worked great.
soaked the parts overnight came clean as new.

Thanks,I'll check with the local auto parts store for it.I live in the Republic of Kalifornia and the AQMD may have outlawed this as well.

I use the same stuff as sail. I buy it at Pep Boys if you have any of them out there.

Just to let you guys know I did find a can carb cleaner not the GUNK brand but,it works.In California the one gal. can is now banned.What is on the shelf can be sold but,after that it's gone.You can still buy a five gal bucket from NAPA for $90 bucks.
