Has anyone heard of using corn starch as the last finishing touch on a paint job? If so how is it applied. I am assuming wet and kind of like compound but not sure. Any experience with this? Thanks..

I've never heard of corn starch on paint, but have tried using flour on aluminium based on a tip Steve got from another truck driver.
Applied dry flour to my buffer and went to town. It was messy but did lift a lot of the black out. Not enough to make up for the clean-up though.

The secret is out! Been using the starch for years to finish off a great wax job. It eliminates those wax swirls and looks perfect. I apply it dry to buffing cloth (sparingly) and wipe the complete project. Also helps future cleaning. Good luck.
