Rag: Please check carefully about chipping your
PSD. There are some neat chips available for your PSD. There is a new chip out that increases your PSD 70hp and 187 ft/lb torque. Any hotter and you will have to change the downpipe, from the exhaust to the charger. The downpipe swedges down when it goes between the engine and the firewall. This is the restriction that limits your power increase. Right now, that is the most hp for the dollars that you can get.

2000 PSD.. Need more power.
I have a 99 F250 4x4 CC Powerstroke with a superchip. So far I love it. Much better performance (advertised 40 hp and 100 ftlbs) and better fuel economy as well. 0-60 is about 2 seconds or so quicker with the chip. I tow a 30' 5th wheel and without the chip, I am always in and out of OD and mileage is about 9. With the chip, I rarely come out of OD and mileage is about 11. 5th wheel is about 13' high and weighs about 10k lbs (it is not the weight, but the frontal area that gets you). Chip will run mid $400s with a no questions asked 30 day moneyback guarantee. Dealer has not yet had anyone bring one back. I can see why. Chip also comes with an outlet tube for the waste gate. Chip can also be reprogrammed for a different Powerstroke engine for about $100, so if you trade in, take the chip with you.

Here are a few things to look at.
Superchip offers two chips a 40hp and a 70hp, both chips raise the speed limiter.
The 2000 P/S uses the same air box & filter that Ford also uses on thier gas blocks which is VERY RESTRICTIVE, I would suggest installing a larger air box or the biggest cone filter you can get.
Cut the muffler off: The 2000 exhaust is more restrictive than the 1999 and this is the cheapest thing you can do, cut the muffler off and run a straight pipe (save your muffler in case its too loud for your liking)
Using a sythitic oil will not only increase your oil change intervals, it will help the PS with MPG
