swapping 302 heads

Was wondering if the heads off a 1986 302 wiil be compatable with my 1972 302 engine I need some heads for my 1972 302 the 1986 heads are in great shape .

I was thinking the 86 heads had a bigger combustion chamber than the 72's so you might lose a little power. I'm not 100 percent sure though, otherwise they should bolt on. Are you the same Bob Chandler that built the first Bigfoot? Good luck.

302 head swap

Thanks for the reply I got the 86 heads 0n the 72 block bolted right up .
only thing i need now " I HOPE" Is longer push rods 1/8 to a 1/4 inch.

I got big feet but im not big foot
