I daily drive a 78 big bronco, all stock, 351m 4 speed. Is there anyting you can add to make the wipers work on a delay like the new vehicles have. Any tips are appreciated.
Although I don't have the specifics, application books do show a delay versus a non delay switch for your year of truck. Your best bet is to find a delay equipped truck in the salvage yard. The wiper switch will have three detents as yours does (rolling clockwise) and the intermittent feature will roll counterclockwise. It's almost better than newer ones in my opinion, because the delay is controlled by a rheostat - it's infinitely variable. You'll need the switch from the donor truck, and a plug behind the dash which is connected to the switch. The plug has the gismo that regulates the delay. It's all tied together - the plug will then connect to your stock wiring harness. It's a very easy upgrade!

Add delays to any conventional wiper system!

Choose either of these these devices, and you can delay the wiper action from 2 to 20 seconds for the better viewing under existing conditions. Keeps windshield clean yet reduces unnecessary blade wear and eliminates annoying dry-wipe squeak.

don't know if it is what you are looking for,but it is a universal fit
