manual Locking Hubs
I just purcased a 86 Bronco II 4x4. The front wheels won't lock in. I jacked the front up and locked the front tire in and put the floor shifter in 4H. The front drive shaft turns when when the truck is in gear but the front tire don't spin. I can turn the left side tire and watch the front axle spin, but when I spin the right tire nothing move but the tire. Does anyone know if this is a bad hub or is something else wrong. If it is a bad hub what spline hub do I need? Thanks for any help.

Is the front axles shaft turning when you have it in 4 wheel drive.If not it sounds like a busted chunk {geare} or broke axles.If the axles are turning your hubs are busted.There 28 spline axles.Waren and Mile Make rmakes replacement hubs for about $120.00.Hope this helped.
P.S.You might get lucky and take them apart and cleane them real good they might work then.
