magnetic tipped extensions?

snapon has some short extension/adaptors that have magnets that go down in your socket to hold a bolt or nut in your socket. They are short, so not much of an extension, but i really want a set, but wouldnt use them enough to pay their rpice. Anyone seen these anywhere else?

I have some Sears ones that go into the socket. They have a plastic cover on them.

I think they would be great for gathering metal fillings from around the shop what I do is use the stick -up official name for the that STUFF that is in refrigerators and a for of calking. I put a small dab in the socket and it holds the bolt or nut. Ed ke6bnl

I tried using them years ago, and would always forget they were in the socket. Pretty soon they all got scattered about, and now I don't know where the things are. Every once in a while I'll come across one by accident. Why can't the sockets themselves somehow be magnetized?

I use the Snap-On set. Pulls those nuts and bolts right out with it. Also beats buying the spark plug sockets with them built in.
