For those who do & don't know what we have been up against for 3 years
regarding my wife Michelle & her failing health from a work related accident that evolved into open heart surgery in 2001 ,today Michelle is one happy Lady.
I Just got off the phone with the " People in charge " of Michelle's Medical case regarding their decision of whether they are liable or not for Michelle's Financial compensation, for being injured at work Jan 2001.
Their decision is that they ARE liable & will be making sure she receives compensation from November 2001 to present day.
This was a heck of a situation to get though & I was getting quite tired of discussing this with beaurocrats.
Justice against Power.
Justice has been served.
This means we don't have to eat just Rice, KD, Hamburger & Oatmeal anymore.
Fantastic, Dennis - I can't even imagine what you and Michelle have gone thru the last 3 years. Like you said, justice was served - late, but at least it was served.
Good for you Dennis, I hope every thing works out for you and your family. It is good to hear good news once an while. Good luck. We always pray for you.
Great to hear!!!!! HAve you checked into Social Security Disablity for her?
I was medically retired form the Army in 1998. I worked for six months after that and tried retraining etc. Well my VA Disability Compensation has been enough I can live ok on it. Not great mind you but ok.
I was told to apply for SSD, I did and of course have been turned down twice and hired a lawyer, the lawyer says he would not take my case if he could not win it.
Since we have filed the appeal for hearing, I have had a heart attack and even more health problems. Good news for the case! but not my health.
I will get a SSD settlement of monthly payments and about $50,000 before the lawyers 25%. The monthly will be tax free and it will help.
