Shazam,
Someone on the ford 335 forum told me to contact you reguarding 400 m stroker question.
I have a 351 cleveland in as 68 mustang that I drag race-index race.
The motor has a rons toilet 1425 cfm on a Funnelweb intake on port stuffed 70 model 4v heads.intake flowed with heads 312@ .7 also
the heads flow descent for 230 cc port 1.900 tall x 1.850 wide-2.19/1.71 valves.
265 @ .4 lift 312@ .7 lift intake-215 exhaust @.7 lift
Pistons are trws 2348 domes-gass ported eagle rods, cast crank.020/.020
the block is .030 over ,hard blocked 1/2 way, pinned and studded mains.
decked.align honed ect.... full prep.external oil line to rear main
roller cam .683 lift- 262-267@ .050 106 c/l 106 sep 3 degrees advanced.
the car is 3040 lbs-stock suspension, 10 slick,c-4, 6000 stall-footbrake off idle,S(no transbrake)
4.86 "s 28 x 15 x 10 et drag tire
The car runs well, low 6.70"s in the 1/8 at 102.5 shifting at 7000
6.60"s shifting at 7600-7800 and one best pass of 6.57 at 104.5 in good air.
60 ft..... 1.46-1.48 average
Now my question
400m short block with cast crank 4.0 stroke h-beams-13.0 pistons
wwws,strokekits.com
400 crank off set 4.200 h-beams- 13.0 pistons
Im wanting a lower shift point 6000 or less, make the car quicker,
more torque, basically bolt heads ,intake, cam, injection on.

I dont intend to bore more than .030-.040 over and preform the same block mods as on the cleveland.
I will tighten the stall up 3500-4000 and run less gear 4.10"s 4.30"s

the guys at the stroker company said a 400 block is stronger and the 4.200 crank can take 600 hp.
I think im 545-555 right now with my current combo.
what is your opinion?
block,crank, ect.......
thanks

MikeStephenson
