my original crank pulley on my 89 f150 was destroyed. I need to get a new one. My question is are the underdriven ones worth it. 49.95 for a 30% underdriven pulley on the crank only. Just wondering, its going on a 351w, c6 4x4. thanks.
I don't have an experience using them, but if you ask me, I'd rather have the assurance of a well working accesory system than the 3-5 hp you can get with pullies.
It slows down the speed of your accessories...making them less operative.
I've never had a problem with underdrive pullies on my Mustangs, but being as this is just my truck -- I opted to just put a stock crank pulley from my Mustang on it instead of buying underdrives. Might be worth looking into -- probably get one dirt cheap from a junkyard or from someone with a Mustang who has underdive pullies on it. It is signifigantly smaller than the stock truck one.
i have underdrive pulleies on my 94 f150. i like them and have no problem with them. the only thing that happens is at night with the lights on at a red light the volt meter drops some. but i also have my stock crank, water pump and alternator pullies. i was going to sell them on ebay...but if you would like them i will sell them to you. let me know what you think they are worth and where you live(for shipping) and ill send them out to you.
email me...

the only pulley i need is the crankshaft one. The others i have. i also have the 5.8 liter motor, i can use the 5.0 pulley with a spacer i have been told. Let me think about it, also you said email you, how do i get your email address, i think they delete them on here if you try to post one.
