Thanks to all who responded to my thread 3-4 weeks ago regarding rear suspension air bags for my '99 F150. Bought a set of Firestone Sport Rite air springs from Suspension Connection and installed them yesterday...what a difference. Installation was easy and they work as advertised.
Only hard spot was with the brake/electrical/fuel lines on the driver's side; they are definitely in the way for drilling and need to be moved. No big deal, just use a piece of wood to stop the drill bit once it penetrates the frame. And whoever pre-drilled the brake line relocation bracket at the factory must have done it in the mirror, because the two pre-drilled holes for the clip bolt and alignment pin are reversed, requiring a third hole to be drilled in the bracket. Again, not a big deal but a small annoyance.
