Engine Casting #s
Today i was searching through a friends acreage and came upon an engine, it's what appears to be a small block(Bellhousing) but when looking at the valve covers, they look like ones off of a 335 series. The #s areD-1-A-E-6-0-1-5-A-C. I know that the D1 is 71' because I've got a Windsor thats a 74' and its dot the D.....Anyway what I'm trying to get at is, is this possably a Clievland, or did ford have different valve covers for the Smallblocks in the late 60's early 70's???

But all it is, is a 71 400, sucks but hey ya win some ya loose some.... Thanks guys for all the help.
