Explorer engine swapping...
I have a 91 F-150 with a toasted engine. I also have a 97 Explorer short block (no heads or intake, or accesories on the front of it.) What will I need to complete this swap? I do know the motor is a roller motor, and it doesn't have a distributor (some sort of pickup on the front of the crank.) Will the heads from the 91 fit the 97 block, and will they work OK?

Yes, you could use the shortblock from the Explorer and swap most of the parts pretty easy - depending on what all is hurt on the F150. Are you planning on using the electronics from the F150?

I'm figuring on basically taking the bad engine out, and just swapping parts until it looks like the original did. I know the Explorer engine has a roller cam, so I'll have to use the firing order (distributor) for that. Anything else I should be aware of?
