Cheap IDI
I am 16 and am looking for a cheap Diesel i live in tennessee. Does any one know where i could get one? i would prefer 4x4.
It doesn't have to run. but it has to be a fairly cheap fix
it doesn't have to have a perfect body as i can do body work and fix the motor
any help will be great

Did you look at the thread "selling my 83" by tinsmith?
That is a good deal on that truck considering the mileage and the fact it is turbo'd.
A non running diesel is not a cheap fix. If it were it would still be running.
Diesel 4x4 trucks are not cheap to buy or operate.
My overall operating expense is close to 32 cents per mile when I figure in everything like tires, repairs, license, insurance, oil and fuel.

What you are not considering is that you can get 1000 dollars out of a Dana 60 front axle housing complete.
In this area a 250 or 350 4x4 diesel will bring more than 1000 dollars in a scrap yard.
It will bring over two thousand in a salvage yard. More if it is running.
