adjustable master cylinder pushrods
its 615-1116
thats for a clutch pushrod but with a little work with a round file, you can pair it with an MC from a 67 f250 and it will bolt right on to a 65 f250. The one I picked up at advanced had no pushrod with it, and this napa universal part worked like it was made for it. (almost)
After I bolted it to the pedal, i backed it off enogh to put the pointy end in the MC pushrod socket, then adjusted it out till the pedal was more or less snug. with no fluid, the rod goes in a bit more than 1" (i marked and measured) and with fluid and sealed, the rod moves at most 3/4 of an inch in first pump. As I read the instructions well within the limit of the pistons stroke.
there it is, a no cut no fuss alternitive for converting a single MC to a dual for the 65 and I imagine the 66 as well.
I did comapre side by side the MC for a 67 mustang, a 68 galaxy and a 69 bronco, and the 67 f250's manual drum brake MC (you must ask for the manual drum brake one) is bigger, and heavier than the others, which come with a pushrod that will need cut and fixed.
why bother when you can get a rod off napa's shelf for 5 bucks?
I hope that helps someone!
