F150 Mirrors

I have a new F150 and was wondering if the side mirrors from the Super Duty would fit on my truck. They look so much cooler and I am sure you can see much more when backing a trailer. Thanks in advance for yalls help.

Good question.... I've wondered the same thing but haven't gotten around to checking. A buddy of mine just bought an 04 F350. I'll take a look at it on Monday and see if they would fit. Unless someone here knows the answer.

I have looked at them while at red lights and such and the door seems to be either the same or very close. I am hoping this is true, it would make my truck look alot better.

Unhappy

I was thinking about the same thing so, I did a side by side compaison between my F150 FX4 and a F250, the F250 version does not extend far enough (next to the glass)towards the rear of the door vs the F150. That and I noticed a slightly different shape at the front of the mirror mount.
I don't think they will work.

I was thinking about changing the mirrors to something smaller. I could probably get 2 mpg more

But you'll loose the "sail" benefit with a tailwind

Post Telescoping Trailer Tow Mirrors are available

Shefenacker is the manufacturer of the Trailer Tow Mirrors for the Super Duty Ford trucks. They have recently started producing a Telescoping Trailer Tow Mirror for other vehicles, including the 2004 F150. Hang on to your wallet, they are a bit on the expensive side. You can read about them and see some pictures here: http://www.ttt-mirror.com/
