Water Pump question

I'm going to swap it out this weekend. Hope it is the source of the grinding noise. Anyone got any tips ? What do I need to watch out for ?

I have gasket, pump, antifreeze, distilled water, gasket goop, and new heater hoses (10').

Piece-o-cake man! Scraping off all the old gaskets is about the hardest part. Just remember "righty tighty, lefty loosy" That's about it! Good luck!

You allso need to know that on the bolts that go in to the water jacket
you will need to put RTV on the treads to pervent leaks! At leased you do this
on small blocks.

RTV on bolts

I was thinking a layer of goop on the top third of the bolts in question ?
