When do you need adjustable rockers
What determines when you need to make the upgrade from standard to adjustable rocker arms? Does the Crane 343941 require adjustable rockers or can you run the stock rockers if the rest of the valve train is is good shape (i.e., springs, valve guides, seals, etc.)?

The big thing is your lifter preload. If you've ground the valve seats, you may not be able to run non-adjustable rockers due to excessive preload. Adjustables let you get around this. I think it should be standard on just about every FE build.
