i was wondering if anyone here could tell me the gear ratio and no. of splines my axles have.i know its a dana 60 floater/open.i want to get at least a limited slipbut my goal is a arb air locker but i need the info on ratio and splines before i order the locker. the axle code on the vin plate on driver door is 38.the truck is a 1971 f250 camperspecial w/4speed(3speed if you dont count granny)

I think most all dana 60's would be 31 spline. Not sure if they offered anything else. Since it has floating hubs, just remove the 6-8(?) bolts and pull the axle and count them. Easy to do.
As for ratio, someone needs to chime in on the codes. Did you look for the axle tag?? It will tell you everything you need.
